About
Dr. Krystia Reed is an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Texas at El Paso. She teaches courses in Social Psychology, Legal Psychology, and General Psychology. She received her J.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her B.A. from Claremont McKenna College. Before coming to UTEP, she completed a Post-Doc at Cornell University and served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cornell Law School. She started at UTEP in 2019 where she currently runs the Legal Decision Lab.
Dr. Reed's research focuses on how people make legal decisions. Her primary areas of focus include jury decision making, plea bargaining, attorneys, probation, and tax law.
In her free time, Dr. Reed enjoys to travel with her German Shephard. Her goal is to visit all national parks, state capitols, and baseball stadiums.
